Hello — thank you for stopping by commonplace work!

I am an event producer, senior project + team leader, an immigrant, and a mother. My 20-year career has included leadership in community engagement, event planning + production, partnership cultivation and resource stewardship, and program design + operations — in issue areas spanning community-driven placemaking, local food economies + immigrant food ways, worker + labor justice, public market + street vendor advocacy, place-based sustainability + resilience strategy, and land + soil preservation. I have worked with City Harvest, The Queens County Farm Museum, the National Parks Conservation Association, Laundry Workers Center, American Farmland Trust, City Parks Foundation, and the Street Vendor Project (among other organizations) — and am recognized for my ability to move calmly through complexity, balance strategic vision with operational clarity, lead with joy + purpose, and strengthen stakeholder relationships. My work is driven by a deep commitment to cultivating community — in both policy and practice.

I am of Ukrainian + Russian heritage and immigrated (from the former Soviet Union) to Syracuse, New York in 1991. I earned a B.A of Motivational Psychology, Self-Determination Theory from the University of Rochester and an M.S in Nonprofit Management and Community Development from The New School.

I split my time between New York City and my small farm in Cazenovia, NY — which I share with my family and a whole lot of animals. I love big meals at long tables, street food on low plastic stools, quiet afternoons in the woods, sweaty dance floors, and the exhilaration of being in a loud + joyful room with my people.

I look forward to working with you!
